The title and the poster hooked me in, but I'll be watching for the leads.

Review Spoiler Alert: Just finished watching the first two episodes: Episodes 1 & 2: So far, the young actors continue to play the lead roles, suggesting we might witness their growth over at least ten episodes (just a guess). I'm hoping we'll see the adult versions sooner rather than later. Initially, I found the cinematography style off-putting; there's room for improvement. I'm not a fan of the current family dynamics among the women in the house. Many viewers will likely start out disliking the female lead's mother, Mi Ja. While I feel somewhat sorry for her, she consistently chooses shortcuts and deceit, even deceiving the male lead's grandfather. She fails as a decent mother, causing chaos. However, I enjoy the interaction between the leads; it's innocent, pure, and enjoyable to watch. They're the reason I'll keep watching. Episodes 3 & 4: I'm not fond of the older woman character, so I mostly skip those scenes. I appreciate the shamelessness of the female lead and the male lead's firm rejection and teasing. He doesn't tolerate her nonsense. The female lead's mother continues to annoy me, skilled at manipulating others. I'm relieved we've jumped ahead in time and are now meeting the adult characters. I expected the male lead's personality to be different, so it's taking some adjustment. He's more awkward and looks younger than the female lead. I'm surprised the female lead didn't recognize him. Episodes 5 & 6: Why are the adults in this drama so foolish, making poor investments? The male lead's mother is now using his grandfather's death as leverage, and all is forgiven now that she has money? Time seems to have healed her wounds. The female lead's mother continues to irritate me; she's determined to ruin her daughter's life. And here's Park Do Ra, falling for her favorite Oppa again, only for him to try to use her. I love the last scene of episode 6. Episodes 7 & 8: Dae Chung finally experiences the consequences of his actions. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens again. The female lead's aunt should stop allowing herself to be used. She should have left him alone. He thinks he's too good for her. The leads' families are at odds, making it troublesome for them to come together. The trailer for the next episode looks dramatic. I'll have to watch it to see if it remains interesting. I skipped much of episode 8 because the characters featured were too dull. Episodes 9 & 10: Do Ra doesn't learn from her mistakes, likely inherited from her mother. Why does she have to fall in love with someone who doesn't want her? Even after rejection, she remains fixated on him, embarrassing herself. I wonder when Do Ra's two brothers will be introduced. What are they doing? Episode 11: Maybe I missed connections by skipping unnecessary scenes. These families are interconnected. The man rejecting the male lead's aunt is Do Ra's brother. I finally saw her other brother. I don't understand why Do Ra hasn't matured. Her relentless pursuit of love feels immature. I prefer her as a standoffish actress. Since they got together so soon, I'm worried about potential breakups, especially with Gong Jin Dan trying to ruin her. Episode 12: All the parents in the drama are chaotic, especially the shameless female lead's mother and the male lead's greedy relative. His father is also reckless, making poor investments. Dora and Dae Chung were adorable together. It might not last, but I remember Dae Chung's youthful love and the lengths he went for it. Let's see. Episode 13: He gave up the girl once he learned he was adopted and felt he owed his family everything. His family will always come first. I hope he doesn't sacrifice his relationship again. I feel sorry for Dora; her mother drags her down the most. Episode 14: Another heartbreaking episode where Dora's mother leeches off her. Dora must take drastic action. This will change her life. I wonder how it will affect her relationship with Dae Chung. Episode 15: The episode started sad. Do Ra becomes a commodity, facing a photoshoot or the man who almost assaulted her. Dae Chung feels helpless. She breaks up with him rudely. I believed she would marry Gong Jin Dan, but she surprises me. I appreciate Im So Hyang's acting. Episode 16: Last episode was amazing, but this one fell short. Amnesia could have worked, but the disguise felt unrealistic, especially with such a recognizable actress. They should have disfigured her. I figured out who Do Jun was. Everyone around her seems blind.

A slow burn love tale

This review may contain spoilers. Bella and Her Beast Charming still enchant viewers, sparking belief in fairy tales. But do today's adaptations have the power to captivate us completely? Park Do Ra, an actress, refuses to participate in an upcoming project led by a failing producer. Despite his persistent pursuit, she continues to evade him, setting the stage for a peek into the book. Highlights of the drama: 1. The novelty of an unconventional pairing. Im Soo Hyang and Ji Hyun Woo's chemistry is a visual delight. Their playful exchanges and occasional misses add a lightness that enhances romantic narratives. 2. The performances delivered by both the leads and supporting cast are exceptional. Each portrayal deserves applause for infusing quirkiness into a shy romance. Downsides of the drama: 1. The storyline itself is its major flaw. It feels like a medley of various romantic tales rolled into one, lacking originality. Audiences can predict the trajectory of love, diminishing the element of surprise. 2. The absence of unexpected twists thus far makes the story drag. Not a single plot development has elicited a smile. 3. Music plays a significant role in captivating audiences, but the background score fails to linger in the ears beyond each episode's end.

HAVEN WATCH ALL , NOT SURE I HAVE THE PATIENCE TO FIN THIS

There are certain characters in the drama whom I dislike, such as the female lead's mother and the male lead's grandmother, as well as the shameless mistress and her son in the other household. Apart from the female and male leads, the rest of the characters are quite dull, especially the shameless mother who squandered all of the female lead's money on gambling debts. She is the most despicable character, exploiting her daughter for her own pleasure, gambling away all of Dora's hard-earned money and still accumulating so much debt that Dora has to bear the burden of it all. If I were Dora, I would run away from such a mother. Additionally, the brother did little to help and concealed the truth from Dora until the debts became insurmountable. It's all the most irritating stories like that, giving people high blood pressure. The mistress's son is also one of the villains who aims to seize all the inheritances. Hopefully, the brother doesn't succumb to her manipulations and doesn't let her take all the assets. As of May 13, 2024, I have reached Episode 14 and took a preview of the next two episodes. It seems like Dora was thought to be dead, but I believe she just disappeared for a while. Luckily, she didn't allow herself to be manipulated by the evil mother into paying off all her foolish gambling debts. Dora must be too naive or foolish to let her mother cheat her out of her money for so long. It's understandable when she was young, but even after growing up, she never bothered to look into her own financial accounts and was perhaps too trusting of her mother. I've heard stories of wealthy individuals being swindled out of millions by their own parents or partners who shouldn't be trusted. Hopefully, Dora returns from her disappearance and doesn't reconcile with this toxic family. Since everyone she knows has betrayed her, I don't see the point of reuniting with them. I'll comment further after watching the next episodes.
